Fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum periods can be both joyous and fraught. Treating women during these times is a passion of mine.
Postpartum
I am a strong believer in the importance of support during the fourth trimester. Mothers are welcome to bring a caretaker into the treatment room for support, or to come in with the new baby in tow.
Acupuncture and IVF
IVF is not a for the faint of heart. It’s a demanding, emotional process and often follows years of hope, frustration, and grief. But acupuncture can support you during the process, and also increase your chances of success
There is also growing evidence that IVF optimizes conception rates when acupuncture is performed the same day as the embryos are planted.
Fertility
Women and men both experience fertility issues. For men, acupuncture benefits sperm count and motility, and increases testosterone levels. Both partners benefit from acupuncture during a fertility treatment, as trying to conceive can be taxing and trying on a couple.
